Tracy has been a wonderfully patient, insightful, and inspiring teacher to our family and our newly adopted rescue pup. Our dog loves her and has been eager to learn every session we had with her. Our field trips really expanded our knowledge of how to train in public. Tracy is very attuned with the animals she teaches and we recommend her wholeheartedly!
Training with Tracy has been exceptional. My dog Honey and I started with a dog manners 101 group class, where we worked on communication, barking, and loose leash walking. Tracy is the best! My 6 month Australian Shepherd and I first took her group class. It felt like a private instruction. Immediate results. Sit, Stay, Come, Wait, Leave it. Done, done, done, done, done. She’s a dog whisperer. She taught us how to properly respect our dog and how to earn respect in return. Our home is a happier place because of her. We followed up with private sessions because of a skateboard and vacuum issue our dog was having and again with Tracy’s instruction…problem solved.
Tracy has been AMAZING to work with. We’ve done one-on-one training at our home several times as well as participated in the group classes more than once. I highly recommend both! My dog and I have truly loved our time in each setting. Tracy creates a welcoming and warm community for both the humans and the dogs in the classes. Our [rescue] dog, Moon, came with some behavioral issues. One was EXTREME anxiety and reactivity towards dogs, humans, and pretty much anything that lives and moves. We tried all the TikTok advice for reactive dogs we could find, but instead of Moon getting better, he got progressively worse. We contacted Tracy when we couldn't take it anymore. Tracy, the angel sent from the heavens, met with us, gave us her INVALUABLE tips, and within 3 days, yes 3 DAYS!!!, Moon's behavior shifted 180*. We're about 2 months in now and Moon can walk past a dog on the same side of the sidewalk, sniff butts with other dogs, meet with our friends that he doesn't know without throwing a fit, and go to a dog park. I can't put in words how grateful I am for Tracy and her magic. If you have any issues with your dog, don't walk- RUN to Feet & Paws to get the best help possible! 100/10 would recommend!

Tracy is a godsend! We adopted our 4-year-old, Buddy Boy (a wheaten), from a breeder who kept him outside on a filthy dog run. We soon realized he was an escape artist, jumping fences and climbing trees. Scariest of all, he was terrible with my grandchildren. I was terrified we'd have to give him back. After working with Tracy, I can safely say he's the sweetest, best dog I've ever had. Not only did Tracy train him, she trained me too! She was gentle (but firm) and patient. Six months after our sessions, we had an issue with Buddy on the bed. In one email, she told me how to fix it and sent me backup info. It worked and we're all sleeping soundly again. I can't say enough about Tracy James and Feet & Paws.
I have taken both private and group dog training classes with Tracy, and I LOVE her patient and positive training style. She is a highly effective and knowledgeable trainer of both dogs and their humans! Her safety tips are invaluable. For me the most important thing was to learn dog behavior and communication so that I will know how to help and train my dog in any situation, not just how to get him to sit. I love Tracy's way of teaching from the dog's perspective, so we can continue to deepen our understanding and bond. She shows how any dog can be trained with positive reinforcement.
We hired Tracy to teach us and our 8-week old puppy basic training skills, obedience and potty training. Tracy is fantastic and has an amazing way with dogs: effective, yet gentle. We knew nothing about dogs (first puppy) and we came a long way in just a few sessions and have also decided to sign up for her group classes to continue improving our dog's socialization skills. Highly recommended!
Tracy helped us with our 11 month Lab who needed guidance with leash walking and recalls. We like Tracy's style of positive reinforcement instead of using a remote collar to shock our dogs, which was used with another trainer. Our Lab would shut down with the collar. Tracy uses treats to show the dog a positive experience. We booked a few sessions and have decided to extend and start training with our new 4 month old puppy.
Tracy of Feet & Paws is such a joy to work with! She has helped my Shadow progress tremendously in the short time we've been training together! Tracy really knows her stuff! She does a wonderful job of incorporating props and obstacles to help challenge your dog. Tiger is a rescue that picked us out. Since he was an outdoor dog and a bit wild, we decided to hire a trainer for some private lessons. Fortunately we chose Tracy at Feet & Paws Fitness. She has been fantastic! She is training us at the same time as Tiger as it is all about communication between the pet and the owners. He is turning out to be a great, lovable dog. Just had 2 lesson with my pooch with Tracy. He is picking up and progressing very well . Tracy is connecting with dog and owners. She been excellent in explaining both dog and human reactions to training methods.
My husband and I are seniors, and we adopted two 8 week-old Daschund puppies. We soon discovered that our big hearts took on more challenges than we had expected. Working with Tracy has saved the day. My husband's memory is not what it was (a retired ER doc) and he will forget some of the guidelines that we are given at the end of each session. Tracy understands and is patient and always loving and kind, with us and our pups. Tracy is actually training all four of us to be reliable and consistent. We love her and appreciate that she patiently shares her expertise with us. This will take time, but we are in it for the long haul!
Tracy is absolutely amazing. My fiancé and I rehomed a 6 month old lab with numerous behavioral issues (biting, jumping, etc). Over 3 training sessions, Tracy gave us the tools to positively reward his good behavior and limit his misbehaviors. Tracy is a wonderful trainer! We learned so much that after we had a few private lessons to work on our dog's basics, my wife and I started bringing our terrier to Tracy's fitness classes. It was a wonderful class filled with open minded people and a highly trained instructor. I would recommend Feet & Paws to anyone.
We had a great experience with Tracy, our trainer. We have a 5 year old Tara (Lab/Shepherd mix) and she was rescued from a shelter. She is very aggressive with other animals so it is very tough to take her out on walks and we do that very late at night when no one is around. Tracy gave us a lot of pointers and helped us every class to get Tara to listen to us and follow our cues. This program is great anyone who can follow simple instructions. I would highly recommend Tracy.
Tracy is fantastic! We took her intro training group class (6 classes) and had her over for private training as well (3 classes) and I don’t know where we’d be without her. Our pup has learned a ton and so have we. And we all have a lot more confidence and capability now to keep learning! Would definitely recommend for new pup owners and anyone who wants to deepen their relationship with their dog.
We just finished our third training session with Tracy for our dog who was experiencing trauma from a cat attack. Over the course of about three months he's improved not only in the area of confidence in taking walks again, but Tracy also leaned into helping other areas of struggle such as leash walking. Having her there to chat through, demonstrate, and be there to advise as my husband and I tried different techniques really helped! I highly recommend working with Tracy, she has a wealth of knowledge and taught with an empathetic approach to understand our boy better.

We had a great time training our new Golden pup with Tracy. She gave us a lot of confidence as new dog owners. The skills we learned with Tracy are invaluable. My favorite skill she taught us is the Recall. She teaches in a calm and understandable manner and went above and beyond to try and coordinate puppy playdates for me. She's a great instructor.

Tracy is an excellent teacher! Her lessons are clear, and she has a genuine connection with my puppy Frankie. I thoroughly enjoyed her classes. The most important "recall" lesson really stuck with my puppy.
We are in our second class with Tracy and couldn't be happier with our experience. We look forward to our class every week. Tracy is great with the dogs (and the owners) and has given us so much useful advice during class, on top of the behaviors she teaches. We love the location in the park and have seen such a difference in our dog by having him practice in a distracting environment. Our eight-month-old golden retriever Ander and us (his dads) have been attending group classes with Tracy and have all acquired very useful behavioral, body language, and positive reinforcement practices. Our pet has learned his name, come, sit, and other commands with the help of Tracy's guidance. Tracy explains the fundamental commands for the dog and parents with ease. For example, less is more. She is patient and stays with you until she knows you have a clear understanding -- and is as confident in YOU as you should be in your pet
Tracy's group classes are fun but very educational, and the outdoor group setting adds an extra challenge for practicing the basics with my dog. I can't wait for the next round of classes!
I thought my one-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (a rescue dog) might be un-trainable because he wouldn't respond to treats. Tracy gave me some guidance as to what treats to try and how to use them. Teddy is wrapping up his basic training class and has come a long way in just six weeks. He responds to seven commands that Tracy has instructed us on how to use, and I am sure he will be able to learn new commands easily as I continue to challenge him. I recommend Tracy and the Feet and Paws classes to anyone who has a new pet.

We attended 6 of Tracy's dog obedience classes. I have a rescue Yorkie who, while I have worked with her for a year, still has a couple behavior challenges. I am a pretty experienced dog person and I learned a few "new to me" tricks. Tracy's class is great for beginning the basics and will work, if you practice and are consistent!

We have been attending Tracy's obedience class with our young dog since he was five months old. (Two + months). Tracy is amazing with a wide variety of dogs, patient, methodical, and has helped us in many ways, large and small. She definitely has the touch - and is able to explain so many small things that need adjustment between the human and the canine. We are getting results - with a rambunctious puppy - and I'm grateful for her talent, kindness and helpful class. We recommend her enthusiastically.
My dog and I took beginner obedience training with Tracy. My dog has a lot of anxiety issues, because he was a stray that I just took in a few months ago. Tracy's positive energy is amazing. I really looked forward to class every week! We'll continue training with Tracy, as I can tell that it's helping my dog learn to trust humans. I highly recommend you try Feet & Paws too!
We loved our classes with Tracy! My nine year old daughter attended as well and Tracy was not only good with our dog (a Maltese/Poodle mix) but also patient and a great teacher for my daughter. As a first time dog owner Tracy has taught us a lot of tips and tricks that really seem to work. Based on my observations of her interactions with the others in the class, she also seems very adept at tailoring suggestions for the personality and temperament of the dog. Great class, I highly recommend!
Tracy is very intuitive and knowledgeable with dogs. We took a beginning class with our recently adopted rescue pit-mix. She was able to help us tamp out our dog's anxiety and respond to simple commands at the end of the 5-week course. Practicing consistently during the week is key. Highly recommended.
Training with Tracy has been wonderful! I don’t know if I just got lucky or if she always has small classes, but my class was so small that my dog and I got a lot of attention and were truly able to learn. Tracy is so helpful in providing guidance to both dog & owner and tailoring it to their specific struggles. Not only is she great with the set training for the class, but she always has an answer when you ask for advice in other areas as well. My dog and I have already learned so much. Her energy is amazing and she’s so helpful and such a pleasure to learn from. We’re finishing up our beginner class and I definitely plan doing intermediate and advance with Tracy as well!

We took the beginner obedience class with instructor Tracy. Truly enjoyed the experience. This is a great class to learn the basics of training your dog. It's very informative for both pups and people. Every week our dog enjoyed the class and came out knowing new skills. Tracy gave tons of great tips and techniques to practice at home to get your dog to the level you want them to be. This class really helps you to learn to speak your dogs language and create a happy and well adjusted member of your family!
Workout With Your Dog Classes
Tracy's class was great! My dog is still in puppy mood and was very excited. Tracy and Berlin were patient and accommodating. Tracy had modifications for my still learning self and puppy. Would definitely take the class again next time I'm in the area!

My dog, Linus, and I have being regular participants of Tracy James wonderful Feet & Paws classes for 2 1/2 years. In that time Linus has learned amazing tricks, improved his obedience training, maintained his puppy weight and is in superb health. It's such a brilliant idea: my dog gets to run around and get lots of energy out (always the plight of the dog owner), and I get a great work out on top of everything too. Private Canine & Human Fitness Training
My dog Luna and I did the Private Canine Fitness Training with Tracy and had an incredible experience! Tracy's passion for what she does is so evident and contagious. She took such care and time with us. We learned a lot in a short amount of time but she never made it feel overwhelming. The feedback she gave on our videos and in person was always very insightful, helpful, and encouraging. She's a fabulous instructor and we look forward to taking more classes with her in the future!

My dog, Penny, and I have been attending the Feet and Paws pack walks for several years. We both always have so much fun. Penny is excited to meet new dogs and show them how little dogs love to hike, and I enjoy meeting new people with dogs that like to hike. Tracy starts every hike with introductions, clear instructions and expectations which are so important when new dogs are meeting each other, especially if some dogs need extra space. I always feel like the Feet and Paws pack walks are a safe place for dogs to be outdoors socializing and getting exercise.

We've gone on three pack walks with Tracy and it has been a great way to socialize our reactive rescue pup safely! She always sets a calm mood for the walk so everyone respects each other's space, but if your dog is more friendly there are usually a few members of the pack walk who are able to walk together. By the end of each walk, even our distrustful pup is walking within a few feet of the other dogs because it's been such a positive experience for him.
I love the pack walks - best way to socialize my dog reacting dog in a safe and non judgmental environment. Tracy is great and gives amazing advise to keep everyone safe.
