If you’re like me, and let’s face it if you’re reading this you most likely are, then you LOVE getting out and about with your dog, especially if it’s somewhere new and normally unaccepted. This is why Bark in the Park at Dodger’s Stadium (now Pups at the Park) is such an exciting event.
Baseball, America’s favorite pastime, an evening outside, dodger dogs, AND the company of your favorite furry friend? Perfect!
Typically held in Spring, Bark in the Park at Dodger Stadium (now Pups at the Park) invites fans to purchase a special event ticket for the Right Field Pavilion that allows them to bring their dog to the park for a specific game (normally a May game that is announced in March/April).
To make the most of this special occasion, arrive early for the Pup Parade, Rally, and Contests.
Contests include:
- Dog that looks most like Tillman, the skateboarding dog
- Dog that shows most Dodger Spirit
- Biggest Dog
- Smallest Dog
Don’t forget to bring:
- Sealed water bottle for your dog and a collapsible bowl
- Potty bags
- Small blanket for your dog to lay down on
In the past, the Dodgers donated a portion of these proceeds to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Los Angeles. Let’s hope this tradition continues.
Understandably, printed vaccination records are required and aggressive dogs will be asked to leave (with their person of course).
