Lets lighten it up a bit and head out to some great charitable events with our dogs!
The American Cancer Society is hosting BARK FOR LIFE, a Canine Event to Fight Cancer, is on Saturday, June 1, 2013. Held in Kenneth Hahn Park at 4100 S. La Cienega Bvld., Los Angeles (MAP), this event is a “a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.” Registration and Vendors open at 7:30am and the Walk begins at 8:15am. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of $100.
Petco Foundation is sponsoring PAWSAPALOOZA, a Dog Walk and Festival on Sunday, June 2 ,2013. Held in Woodley Park (section 1) at 6350 Woodley Avenue, Nan Nuys, CA (MAP), this event will “raise funds to support PAWS/LA’s programs that help our clients and their pets in need. With your support, we can continue to provide veterinary care, pet food and other supplies, vaccinations, flea products, grooming, temporary boarding…and whatever else we can offer to help keep these special families together.”
